The website, performancedrive.com.au was created by Brett Davis in 2011. Brett started this site as a hobby as he is quite the motoring enthusiast but the site grew and it switched to his full time job. This particular website offers a wide range of reviews on different vehicles, especially sports and luxury vehicles and their performance.

Each of the vehicles reviewed are tested and the reviews are all unbiased and provide details such as the vehicle’s power, comfort, fuel usage, overall handling and much more.

Our Approach

In my particular solution, I focused on improving the quality of the content that was on the site. This included the creation of new content that was authoritative, easy to share and newsworthy. Additionally, I also made the site mobile responsive in order for users to have a better overall experience on the site.

Next, I optimised performancedrive.com.au for Google News and then submitted it for consideration.

In order to grow monthly revenue, I added more CTAs or call to action buttons on every page of the site. This also helped to increase the number of email subscribers.

Reasons Behind This Particular Solution

This solution was implemented for this website because it was the best and quickest way I could improve organic traffic from Google and other search engines while working with a small budget. Additionally, due to the website’s existing style, it was very easy to optimise it for Google News.

Also, since more than 40% of current website users visited the site from a mobile device, it was obvious that making the site more mobile responsive would have a significantly positive impact.
